Registry Desk: representation for premium domain names

Domantria LLC is an independent brokerage that represents one side of a private domain name transaction: the buyer, the seller, or a holder who needs the record kept quiet.

We do not list inventory, we do not run a marketplace, and we do not present a catalog of names for sale. What we operate is a desk. When a client retains us, we open a file, we research the record, we make contact where contact is useful, and we carry the negotiation through to settlement. Everything we do sits between two parties who each want something specific, and our job is to keep that conversation accurate, documented, and confidential.

The premium aftermarket is small, oddly personal, and often slower than people expect. A name that matters to a company is rarely sitting on a shelf with a price attached. It is registered somewhere, held by someone with a view about it, and reachable only through a careful approach. That is the work. We write the approach, we handle the reply, and we keep our client's identity out of the public record when the client asks us to.

buyer side

Acquiring names

We represent acquirers: sourcing candidates that meet a brief, checking the ownership picture, opening a discreet conversation, and negotiating terms that hold together after closing.

seller side

Releasing names

We represent sellers: positioning a name honestly, qualifying who is actually able to transact, defending the price, and coordinating a settlement that pays on schedule.

flagship

Quiet Ownership

We acquire and hold the registration under Domantria's own name so the client never appears in public WHOIS records. The client directs strategy; the record stays anonymous.

evidence

Appraisal notes

A written methodology note that explains how we weigh comparables, extension strength, and demand signals, plus a plain statement of what the note cannot tell you.

closing

Escrow and settlement

We coordinate with an independent, regulated escrow provider, sequence release conditions, and track the transfer of the registration through to confirmation.

after care

Portfolio stewardship

Renewals, registrar hygiene, DNS oversight, and record review for names a client already holds, so the asset does not drift while it waits.

What the desk actually does

A file usually starts with a sentence that is shorter than it should be. A client says they want a particular name, or that they own one and want it moved. From there we build a scope: what the client will accept, what they will not, who may know, how long the search may run, and what happens if the answer is no. That scope is written down before we contact anyone, because a negotiation without a written scope drifts.

On the buyer side we research ownership first. Who holds the registration, when it was created, whether it is under lock, whether it resolves anywhere, whether it has changed hands recently, and whether the holder is a company, an investor, or someone who registered it years ago and forgot. That picture shapes the approach. A portfolio holder reads a short, professional note. A single-name owner often needs a plainer explanation of who we are and why we are writing.

On the seller side we begin with an honest read. Not every name a client loves is one the market will pay for, and we say so early rather than later. If the name has a case, we argue it with evidence: comparable sales we can describe, the strength of the extension, the size of the plausible buyer set, and the cost of holding. If the name does not have a case, we say that too, and we explain what would change our view.

How we are structured

Domantria is a service practice, not a platform. There is no account to open, nothing to log into, and nothing to add to a server. Clients retain us the way they would retain a negotiator or a transfer coordinator: by agreeing to a scope and a fee, then working with a named person at the desk. Our contact details, our address in Seattle, and our direct lines are published on every page of this site, and the legal pages that follow explain the limits of the relationship in plain terms.

We are not a registrar. We do not sell registrations, we do not host content, and we do not control the registry itself. We are not an escrow holder either. When money has to move between parties, it moves through an independent escrow provider engaged for the transaction, and we coordinate the sequence rather than hold the balance. Any statement about availability, price, or outcome that you read on this site is our professional opinion, offered in good faith, and not a promise.

Confidentiality is the center of the practice. Public WHOIS records are visible to everyone, and a name tied to a company's identity can hand a seller an advantage before the negotiation even starts. Quiet Ownership exists for exactly that problem: the registration is taken in Domantria's name, held under our administrative control, and directed by the client under a written stewardship arrangement. The client's interest is documented between the parties. It simply is not broadcast to the world.

If any of that matches the problem in front of you, the shortest path is a call or a short written request. We will tell you within one working conversation whether the matter is one we can help with, what it would take, and what it would cost to run. If it is not a fit, we will say so, and we will explain why.
